holy so many things are happening all @ once i can't believe im posting two reviews in the same month. this one is an exciting one !!! because its one of my all-stars like america's next top model all-stars where all the models punch each other and grab everyone's weaves. THATS how exciting it is

so just in case you don't follow me on tumblr (don't know why you wouldn't), anytime someone asks me for skincare tips i always include deep cleaning as part of the holy trinity (cleansing, deep cleansing, moisturizing). i've frequently recommended brands like annie's way, and bonanza buts truthfully this one takes the gold

it lasts longer, is cheaper and works better !!! if thats not a selling point that i don't know what is. so without me suddenly turning this post into a hwang chi yeol dedicated love letter this is a review on domecare's deep cleansing pack!

first things first, the packaging. i know it looks super dull and boring, nobody is perfect okay neville from harry potter was super boring, but look @ him now. personally i never even set out to buy it around a year ago but i am in love with it (this is my second jar). theres dozens of deep clean masks floating around the market these days but so little of them actually give me the results i want. so when my mom brought this back from hong kong as a rando haul i was super skeptical.

first off its a brand i've never heard of  (you probably too), and its packaging looked like something u slap on your face, wash off and then see no results but oooooohhhhh shiiittt was i wrong. wronger than that one time my brother bought me a kfc double downer (its fucking disgusting do not eat)

so within the jar they give you a smoll spatula which is useless because its too smoll lmao, but they also seal the mask with a protective plastic which is also super fucking annoying. you seriously have to use brute force to get all the air out before u close the seal or else it just pops back up and u can't close the lid !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

anyway now back to the meat of the story:

the texture is like watery jelly, it doesn't slip off easily but its definitely not a solid mixture. besides the whole ORDEAL with the lid, and the seal its actually a pretty no-mess situation. the best part of it is a little can go a long way, especially because you should use deep clean masks 1-2x a week it can last u until d.ear drops a new full album (which will probably be next century)

so the directions are simple:
  1. wash your face (lmao don't be a dirty ass)
  2. smear the gel all over your face, emphasize and add extra layers on areas that are more prone to blackheads like the corners of the nose, chin areas. (you can do it for the whole face if you want im not god i won't judge)
  3. wait 30 minutes, and wash off with a cleansing spatula or a sponge (i'll show u one)
and really its literally as simple as 1-2-3 you and me, a-b-c. holy shit where did that come from??? i know it came from a song somewhere. the gel doesn't irritate @ all, it barely has a smell and it gives off a cooling sensation the longer you use it 💖💖💖

omg so fucking ugly, but really the thickness in this case DOES NOT MATTER !!! this is seriously what makes me cry with joy because half the time the gel masks i use get sucked up into a black hole because you can't put on a thin layer, or else it just doesn't work (which is bullshit). for domecare i usually only use it on my t-zone, and use other gel masks on my cheeks which in returns saves both the products

its impossible to spread an even layer of butter on a piece of toast so don't expect to do it on your face (not with the butter though), the consistency really doesn't allow you to spread it evenly but as long as its there trust me it'll work. after around 30 minutes you can scrap off the excess gel and chuck that in the garbage and you'll be left with residue like:

IM RISKING SO MUCH IF ANY OF MY REAL LIFE FRIENDS SEE THIS !!! but anyways its super hard to see through my fucking filters, and crap camera but believe me the second i wash off the residue my whole complexion is brightened !! its like i am born a new spring chicken.

since you can't apply the mask in an even spread, parts of it dries quicker (usually the edges) and its actually pretty hard to wash. so i suggest you either take a shower (be a clean ass) and use the running water and your hands to wash off any of the mask OR you use a sponge, or spatula to cleanse with running water. my go-to is usually a sponge that came along with my borghese clay mask:

im not sure if they sell it separately but i honestly love this sponge. its rigid enough to wash my face of any masks quickly, but soft enough so it doesn't irritate or cause red blotches. so instantly after im done washing off everything TRULY my skin feels brighter, softer and my blackheads and white-heads become SUPER easy to clean.

tip: blackhead strips are bombass but they're harmful to the skin, especially if you use them too much or do not prep, or moisturize and tone afterwards. try not to use them every week because pulling the blackheads out by force causes the pore to be bigger. if you don't have an effective method to minimize the pores afterwards you're going to hell (lmao keeding)

so using a deep cleansing mask is definitely a better way to go, EVEN if its more time-consuming. alright back to me, areas around my cheeks and nose which are a fucking nasty war-zone honestly have blackheads protruding for me to clean. i usually use a needle to gentle press on the areas around the corners of my nose and non-existence nose-bridge. all the shit that comes out is disgusting and I WILL NOT show you because i am not the devil. afterwards its CRUCIAL !!!!! that you use toner to help close up the pores.

physically dose cotton pads in toner and lay them on your skin like cucumber slices for around 10-15 minutes. i actually used skinfood's egg white pore mask (which is actually pretty good too i'll do a review on it when im dead), and it gives me a matte feeling afterwards !!!

and WA-FRICKIN-BAM now you'll look as ugly as me (bad selling point). really though, my whole complexion is instantly brightened, my skin is softer more moisturized and my nose is a whole lot smoother than before (if you decide to clean your blackheads)

ps: that is not a real nutty popsicle, its a pen shaped like one. did you really believe that i'd pose with a popiscle instead of eating it? do you think i have that kind of willpower? 👏👏

this seems like a crap review i know because im just talking about me, but technically its MY experience so it makes sense. for those that do not care about me 👀 here is a better summary of all the crap i spewed out in 30 minutes:

the really great amazeball things about this all-star mask is that
  • it actually works !!!! SAAAY WHAAAT but no joke, it seriously does its job as a deep cleansing mask
  • it keeps my skin moisturize, clean, soft and lookin like the filet-o-fish bun
  • there is a very subtle smell, but nothing too strong
  • its not dirt cheap, (~200hkd, ~30cad) but its definitely cheaper than bonanza and works better than annie's way
  • super long lasting because you don't need a thick layer for it work, and it'll last even LONGER if you only use in areas around your nose or your chin!!
  • its A LOT easier to clean stubborn blackheads after you apply the mask
the crappy triple-o's burgers things about it are:
  • its not super common, and my go-to place to buy it is from the sasa in hong kong. you may be able to find it on ebay, or amazon but its definitely not a brand you see often in the stores
  • the fucking lid and seal !!!! i can't !!! thats the only place it gets messy and the gel seeps out and shit like stay in the fucking jar !!!!
  • the 30 minutes waiting time MAY seem super long, especially to those used to skinfood's 3-15 minute scrubs and masks but its worth it !!! its definitely more time-consuming but love takes time and you're probably not even in a rush
  • hard to spread evenly, but tbh we can't all be perfect
so while the pros and cons seem to be in equal numbers don't let it fool yall. i sincerely love this mask so much and its honestly gotten me through my worse ugly times without fail  anytime i feel like i need a pick me up, or im just in a mood to have softer skin its always my go-to. i highly recommend this mask (if you can find it) and oh trust me if i didn't have it i'd probably look like actual satan on a bad day.

WELL as per ujj this review was super boring and i don't expect any of you to treat me to taco-bell, but the take home message is i lub the mask , it works and why does the mcflurry spoon look like that ?? what is the real purpose ?? thanks for reading !!!

omg its happening, after literally 10 months here i am. back @ it again with another useless skincare review are you excited? anyway just as a way to celebrate the ending to one of my busiest and scariest semesters yet here is a short review on innisfree's it's real squeeze mask in rose

anyone that is clearly a face masks collector (me) probably wouldn't be a stranger to innisfree it's real squeeze mask line-up. i've tried almost all of them from the blackberry, to shea butter but the fact that im finally posting ONE SINGULAR review on rose probably indicates its my favorite.

so first off like the wrapping to a junior chicken here's what the packaging looks like

simple and chic similar to all innisfree's products. im not going to read out the ingredients or the directions because i mean....its just a face mask we all know what to do. one of the reasons i prefer this mask over the lot is mainly because of its essence!

like i said this line-up comes in an array of options from strawberry, green-tea to mugwort (lmao) and their essence ranges from watery, to creamy depending on the moisturizing level you want. personally before you end up buying 100 masks from the line you have to be wary of where you live and what your skin type is. in places which are humid and hot i recommend a more watery essence (alike the rose) and more creamy and moisturizing for colder areas (like the shea butter)

living in vancouver im subjected to fucking blazing spicy chicken weathers in the morning and then a shit storm of hail and sleet by night. despite all that i still think the rose still does a good job @ softening and brightening areas that are dull, and dry.

the mask is relatively thin, and translucent. since the pancake syrup is similar to that of just a toner, or water its definitely not burdensome and messy to handle outside the packaging. once applied it automatically gives off a cool and calming sensation without any dripping or leaking. it takes around 15-20 minutes to begin to dry, and that seems pretty short because I KNOW a lot of you probably take off a face mask once you think all the essence is soaked up

secret spy tip: truth is our skin can really only absorb so much, so while it seems like a complete waste to chuck out a facemask thats still wet its probably better to use the remainder on other parts of your body. places like elbows, knees, and your neck !!! and really wipe it on your ass if you're ambitious. by the time you peel that crusty mask that you've been using for 1 hour off your face its probably been sucking up all the moisture out by then !!!! it would basically be like you did all that for nothing

so with that being said just like our skin, the mask itself really isn't able to soak up THAT much of the essence either. so theres still a lot of essence left over from the packaging which you can also save for later use!

smear that all over your body like melted butter on a lobster and you're ready to go. finally on to the fitting. the only smoll problem i have with this mask is that it kind of puffs up @ the areas around my nose.

a super easy solution is just to cut the space in-between and level out the mask. in places near the nose or around the eyes is probably the hardest to predict the fitting for every face shape. areas which are overlapping with your hair just fold it over. no big deal you got this.

well now that i'm done uploading all the pictures you can all leave now. lmao no don't go im not done yet. so just as a super quick summary to a not super quick review here it is:
  • the mask's essence is basically like water💦, so for those with oily skin should probably opted out for something like this. the extra moisture and actual cream in some of the others may feel sticky and break you out !!
  • the scent is not pungent, and probably wouldn't irritate anyone
  • the mask is thin and soaks up enough essence so your skin will get just the right amount before it starts to take any moisture away (osmosis bitch!!!!)
one smoll little teeny last milkshake bit problem
  • really is just the fitting. not all the masks can adhere to someone's face shape and the areas round the nose and eyes tend to have spaces you need to adjust for.
overall i still consider this one probably one of my favorites in the whole innisfree line-up. its moisturizing enough for cold places, but not sticky and burdensome for the skin. im still fucking sick so i can't even watch park shin yang in peace so the least you can do is appreciate this shit review yahoo !!!! see you in a year lmao !!! and who can forget my signature

p.s not to get anyone's hopes up but im going to be doing a facemask post showing the world my whole collection. its probably going to take me a year to take all the pictures and edit them all on instagram but it a coming just u wait 💖

just a beautiful collage of 'the reasons i'll always be fat' to brighten up this dead page. its been a long time folks, that time of the year has come where i suddenly believe i can start another blog besides chiveburger. its not going to happen, my two followers here know that but nevertheless, @ least one new review on something i've used recently will be posted. im not a scoundrel its only been like 11 months no big deal
