[review] innisfree it's real squeeze mask rose 🌹

omg its happening, after literally 10 months here i am. back @ it again with another useless skincare review are you excited? anyway just as a way to celebrate the ending to one of my busiest and scariest semesters yet here is a short review on innisfree's it's real squeeze mask in rose!
anyone that is clearly a face masks collector (me) probably wouldn't be a stranger to innisfree it's real squeeze mask line-up. i've tried almost all of them from the blackberry, to shea butter but the fact that im finally posting ONE SINGULAR review on rose probably indicates its my favorite.
so first off like the wrapping to a junior chicken here's what the packaging looks like

simple and chic similar to all innisfree's products. im not going to read out the ingredients or the directions because i mean....its just a face mask we all know what to do. one of the reasons i prefer this mask over the lot is mainly because of its essence!

like i said this line-up comes in an array of options from strawberry, green-tea to mugwort (lmao) and their essence ranges from watery, to creamy depending on the moisturizing level you want. personally before you end up buying 100 masks from the line you have to be wary of where you live and what your skin type is. in places which are humid and hot i recommend a more watery essence (alike the rose) and more creamy and moisturizing for colder areas (like the shea butter)
living in vancouver im subjected to fucking blazing spicy chicken weathers in the morning and then a shit storm of hail and sleet by night. despite all that i still think the rose still does a good job @ softening and brightening areas that are dull, and dry.

the mask is relatively thin, and translucent. since the pancake syrup is similar to that of just a toner, or water its definitely not burdensome and messy to handle outside the packaging. once applied it automatically gives off a cool and calming sensation without any dripping or leaking. it takes around 15-20 minutes to begin to dry, and that seems pretty short because I KNOW a lot of you probably take off a face mask once you think all the essence is soaked up
secret spy tip: truth is our skin can really only absorb so much, so while it seems like a complete waste to chuck out a facemask thats still wet its probably better to use the remainder on other parts of your body. places like elbows, knees, and your neck !!! and really wipe it on your ass if you're ambitious. by the time you peel that crusty mask that you've been using for 1 hour off your face its probably been sucking up all the moisture out by then !!!! it would basically be like you did all that for nothing
so with that being said just like our skin, the mask itself really isn't able to soak up THAT much of the essence either. so theres still a lot of essence left over from the packaging which you can also save for later use!

smear that all over your body like melted butter on a lobster and you're ready to go. finally on to the fitting. the only smoll problem i have with this mask is that it kind of puffs up @ the areas around my nose.
a super easy solution is just to cut the space in-between and level out the mask. in places near the nose or around the eyes is probably the hardest to predict the fitting for every face shape. areas which are overlapping with your hair just fold it over. no big deal you got this.

well now that i'm done uploading all the pictures you can all leave now. lmao no don't go im not done yet. so just as a super quick summary to a not super quick review here it is:
- the mask's essence is basically like water💦, so for those with oily skin should probably opted out for something like this. the extra moisture and actual cream in some of the others may feel sticky and break you out !!
- the scent is not pungent, and probably wouldn't irritate anyone
- the mask is thin and soaks up enough essence so your skin will get just the right amount before it starts to take any moisture away (osmosis bitch!!!!)
one smoll little teeny last milkshake bit problem
- really is just the fitting. not all the masks can adhere to someone's face shape and the areas round the nose and eyes tend to have spaces you need to adjust for.
overall i still consider this one probably one of my favorites in the whole innisfree line-up. its moisturizing enough for cold places, but not sticky and burdensome for the skin. im still fucking sick so i can't even watch park shin yang in peace so the least you can do is appreciate this shit review yahoo !!!! see you in a year lmao !!! and who can forget my signature

p.s not to get anyone's hopes up but im going to be doing a facemask post showing the world my whole collection. its probably going to take me a year to take all the pictures and edit them all on instagram but it a coming just u wait 💖
