hong kong skincare haul !! (once again)

well, ripley's believe it not i am back. the only intention i had for this blog literally half a year ago was that i stick to it, and do something worthwhile that might make money but look at me now !!!! anyways, loyal followers of this blog (one) i am back again with another haul, that i again did not buy but all credits goes back to my mother

typically in every haul there is very little make-up, most of the items are skincare related. there was honestly 70 damn pictures i took so i shrunk them all down and i'll only display the ones that are completely new purchases. most of the other items are the same as the other haul on this blog so just to stabilize my followers here (one) i'll keep it short & sweet.

so these !!! are the main characters of today's post. 

to start off i'll show you two things that aren't in the group photo

i vowed that this was going to be the year that i get the clarisonic cleansing brush, but i crapped out once again. instead one of the cheaper & fairly popular substitutes is the pobling sonic sonic pore cleanser ! i haven't used it thoroughly, but all i can say right now is that its hairs are extremely compact, it could be pro like red robin's crispy chicken, or a fucking CON like wendy's chicken burger. i'll be sure to make a review of this after a few months, if not then come and whoop my ass.

the second item is also a cleansing brush 

and it's the miniso pore cleansing system. if anything is more of a dupe of clarisonic its this, from the overall vibe, to the addition brush head this little chickpea can fool me if it didn't have its logo plastered on its stand, and on the back of the head. this cleansing brush vibrates @ a speed that is physically more powerful than pobling. if this does end up being too harsh, i might use it on neck chest or back, either way unless this brush literally secretes poison for 99hkd i would call it a steal. 

i'll try to organize this haul from frequent skincare, masks then anything else but no matter how i arrange it you'll still have to go through all of it anyway so just bare with me, you're doing a good deed.

if you've been following on tumblr long enough you'll know that i absolutely love watching hk youtubers, most western products are expensive here & expensive in hk so i tend to avoid those that promote products more common in canada. one of my favorite youtubers is ding2craftsube & it is because of her that these are some of the products i'm most excited to use:  the doctorcos action control eyecream, their ultra hyaluronic paradize ampoule cream & finally their intensive hybrid sheet free mask advance!

their lineup had a collection of three creams, two of three i have in the picture above rofl i sound like tyra. its common name is called 爆水神器 !! which directly translates to exploding water smt, rofl idk what 神器 is in english. JUST know that its name essentially implies its high moisturizing ability. i've tried the second (grey) & third (blue) generation all in the duration of a day  (my mom came home last night). 

it's a little early to judge, but the consistency is a little thicker than laniege's sleeping pack, it produces that similar oily film especially if you apply it on thick which in this case you can since both double up as sleeping packs. besides the two creams im most excited to try the eye cream !!! im infamous for my darker than charcoal dark circles so hopefully this 15mL of magic saves me from being dragged to hell. the texture is extremely jelly-like, making it hard to scoop out  but if it works i'll use a damn jackhammer to get it out.

now who can forget our gift from heaven, nature republic's aloe vera gel !! it's a repurchase so i won't stay on the topic for too long but accidentally my mother bought the wrong jar, going by yumei. but if its cheap and it doesn't ruin my skin and turn me into a witch im fine with it i'll mix it in hot water and drink if it'll turn me into jesus. 

aside from using the regular jelly or sheet masks a very inexpensive & common thing i like to do to close up my pores is by using toner !! rip a few sheets of your cotton pads and dose them in some toner and slap those on your cheeks and nose, forehead, your ass + to quickly hydrate your skin. the more hydrated your skin the easier it is for your make-up to stick more firmly, and the less it'll float. these three from left to right are the haruhada hyaluronic acid skin lotion (toner), their collagen skin lotion and their hyaluronic acid cleansing water. similar to the giant jug of wonder pore toner from etude house i think these will last a long long time !! unless i turn disrespectful and bathe in them.

while we're on the topic of toners, this is 廣源良's very famous 菜瓜水. if you follow hk youtubers this shouldn't be foreign, i don't think theres an english name unless its literally cucumber water rofl. its extremely cheap 25hkd which is under 5 cad, even cheaper in us dollars and is mostly used for the process of moisturizing and quick hydration. since one of my major problems are blackheads, its important after deep cleaning that i moisturize well so almost all the products here are targeted towards moisture. also because its winter soon i can't afford to look like an egg shell. 

OH LOOK !!! ANOTHER FUCKING TONER !!! tone it down candice HAHA !! while i've tried faith in face's after shower look, this is the first time i'm trying their truly waterly cleansing water. despite being called a cleansing water it can also double up as a toner since it helps remove stubborn and excess make-up, moisturizing alongside. just to shake things up a bit, here is a mini review for their after shower look hydrogel mask, if you ever plan to buy. yes, it is extremely moisturizing and the mask itself sticks to your face very well but i still hate the texture and cutting !! maybe because my face is the size of the super moon the texture around my philtrum starts to itch and hurt because the mask isn't made of paper. its hard personally to wait an hour for it so, have fun 

ok don't worry we're almost not done. face mists completely fuel me, especially the ones that spray out like bug spray. unfortunately this isn't one of those, the innisfree aloe revital skin mist wasn't on my list of things i wanted to try but im still glad i have it. i've used their olive oil mist for a long long time, but i think its time we moved on. just like we're doing now.

lastly !!! for just general skincare would be theres two lotions loofah, and aloe which i've never heard or seen before i'll still take care of u though don't worry.

okay so on to make-up !!!

well, this is it. im sorry to disappoint you but look how cute it looks !!! again it wasn't my choice but i love the packaging a million percent, the sponge is like a chicken nugget *cue fred armisen's voice* DUDE !! IT'S GREAT. the products are the face shop oil clear blotting powder & their oil clear smooth and bright pact. i don't have a very big problem regarding oil but the packaging is adorable so i'll let it slide, i can wear it as a keychain 

now onwards to masks,

i live in the correction center for jelly masks because having so many should be a crime, i've been using them for a few years now and clearly their advertisement works very well because im going to be living in a shoebox soon. bonanza & annie's way are both repurchase over repurchase so i'll shut up about them !!

this random turkey called domecare deep cleansing pack, its another jelly mask made in taiwan. hopefully it surprises me unlike the jelly mask from my beautiful diary !! nothing happens when you apply it, its like frozen in the fridge somewhere now.

besides jelly masks, i will still stick to the status quo & use paper masks, i can't just break free and go to fucking BERKELEY like troy bolton !!! i hate his ass jesus

just for the sake of being greedy i managed to snag some of beautymate's purifying & hydrating mask + their anti-blemish repairing mask each in bundles of 10!

in order from left to right + blah blah yea you know how to read u can figure it out are

• holika holika's pig collagen jelly gel mask sheet 
• tony moly's homeless strawberry seeds 3-step nose pack
• innisfree's its real squeeze masks (shea butter, aloe, blackberry, rose, tea tree + green tea)
• FINALLY !! the cutest one i've seen is a milky styled face mask 4x !! i have no idea the company or the name but just know it exists 

lululun's balance moisture masks in a pack with 42 !!! was pretty trendy some time ago so what the hell. its not individually wrapped, and the packaging is exactly like how you'll open baby wipes or a box of tissues. baby wipes are healthy & good for you if used properly, so i actually love the packaging. i think its extremely environmental and a lot easier to grab, and the seal is very tight so theres no worries of it leaking or all the juices evaporating. just as long as you don't use them to wipe your ass, because thats wasteful. 

HOLD ON SUGAR !! WE ARE ACTUALLY ALMOST DONE !! WE ARE ALMOST FREE !! 

who ever made joe fresh's cotton pads needs to leave !!! i hate them so fucking much, they shed and the cotton actually sticks to your skin and your hands so only when i have to wipe the floors or do something demeaning do i use them. muji on the other hand i thought was better, in a sense they didn't shed and were thicker, however despite their ability to peel into 9 more layers it still a hassle. this one on the other hand is just some turkey my mother grabbed for me. there is 180 sheets, and they're extremely thin, each one comes out in a rectangle and you can cut and make origami and its great. it feel like a thinner felt, and my cleansing water doesn't get fucking sucked up by it !! thank u baby jesus 

i swear to god i have irritable bowel syndrome so i just shit everywhere, besides that i don't wear a lot of clothes because im fat and have too much energy and long pajama pants makes me sad and unhappy. NOW however canada is turning into the artic tundra again and so heat pads for cramps & colds are a must !! any brand works just slap them on your clothes and you'll feel the hug of your imaginary friend. with the same brand as their cleanser is miniso's double sided cotton pads, just by looking @ it though i feel like its a joe fresh so im scared.

that one time i wrote it on my blog, how i didn't go into l'occintane to buy anything and just applied their hand creams like a lil bitch this is the one !! l'occitane dry skin handcream i absolutely love the smell its like baby powder, a very natural but comforting scent. it just smells like soap and i enjoy the simple things in life.

rofl besides the actual, here is the fraud. just kidding, the scent for the pure smile teapot hand cream is a light lemon its not too powerful and its definitely an easier carry than the 180mL soap in a tube. lol like tent in a tube in that's so raven when the skunk comes in afterwards and shes like TAKE MY OTHER BOOT YA NASTEH !!! shit make sure to watch their reunion on the view i believe in you.

this on the other hand is a lip balm !! doesn't it look like deodorant stick omf, there is no scent seeing as i got it for no price (free gift). yet surprisingly its pretty moisturizing, the area with the stick dents actually covers my lips pretty well i just hope people don't think im eating a baby's deodorant stick when i leave the house, as if i don't have enough worries of my own. 

FINALLY TO END ON A VERY UNFRIENDLY & BORING NOTE IS THIS !!!! this semester like any semester will take a toll on me soon, so i was planning to buy rohto's z! pro eyedrops. like i said i get hot pretty easily because the devil lives inside me and their concept was that their eye drops is similar to putting an ice cube in your eye. its considered a pretty refreshing & calming effect for tired + dried eyes but sadly they don't sell it in hk !! most of their products however are sold mainly for those that wear contacts, and because of that sole reason my mom ended up buying these. im not very into it because each one drop is individually wrapped as if the world isn't already dying, so i think i'll just stick to my systane !! i will buy their z! pro though even if i have to fly all the way to japan to experience it.

and omg just like that, we are done. literally wrote an entire essay for a whole day but we are finally finished. i didn't mention a lot of other products that i've repurchased like neutrogena's hydroboost pre essence, and biore's uv watery essence but ENOUGH !! you've talked for too long already you need to stop and maybe go eat those last springrolls in the kitchen.
